Law
Sales tax, transportation funding
SALES TAX – Amends existing law to clarify the uses that may be made of certain funds by special purpose taxing districts.

RS30071C1 / H0050

Section 63-3638, Idaho Code, governs the distribution of sales tax revenue to various agencies and entities. This legislation amends Section 63-3638 to require special taxing districts to expend money they receive from the sales tax distribution for the specific purpose for which the taxing district was created.

No fiscal impact to the General Fund because the bill only clarifies where the funds are spent.
