Conrad visa waiver program
HEALTH – Amends existing law to revise eligibility requirements for the Conrad J-1 Visa Waiver Program and the National Interest Waiver Program.

RS30212 / H0083

To amend current statute reducing administrative burden related to application process. Expand cap on the number of applications healthcare facilities can submit from 2 to 5. Prioritizing critical access hospitals and rural clinics. Overall goal of addressing severe healthcare workforce shortages by increasing access to qualified physicians and reducing burden to apply.

This has no fiscal impact on the general budget as the fees associated within the statue are paid by the facilities submitting the applications.
