STATE CONTROLLER – Amends and adds to existing law to provide that all state officers and agencies shall report agreements entered into to the State Controller.

This legislation amends the duties of the State Controller’s Office to account for and store agreements entered It also requires state officers and into by state officers and agencies of the three branches of government. agencies to report these agreements as defined by the Controller. This allows for transparency of all agreements outside the normal financial business of state. This will not affect counties, cities or local governments.
This legislation will not affect the General Fund because these tasks are accomplished with existing resources. The State Controller may re-evaluate the costs if additional manipulation of the data is required in the future.
