Lease change notices
LEASES – Amends existing law to revise provisions regarding notice of lease changes.

This legislation provides that renters must have 60 days’ notice before a residential lease terminates. It applies to leases entered into or renewed after July 1, 2023. Title 6 Chapter 6 providing for an expedited eviction in the event of rent not being paid or drugs use continues to apply.

There is no fiscal impact on the General Fund.
