Land, water, foreign ownership
PROPERTY – Amends existing law to provide that a foreign government or foreign state-controlled enterprise shall not purchase, acquire, or hold any interest in certain types of property in Idaho.

This legislation prohibits a foreign government or foreign government controlled entity from purchasing, acquiring or holding a controlling interest in agricultural land, water rights, mining claims or mineral rights in the state of Idaho.

There is no fiscal impact to the state General Fund or local government.
