Law
Hwy district, carpool, rideshare
TRANSPORTATION – Amends existing law to provide that a county-wide highway district may operate and expand certain transportation programs and facilities.

RS30073 / H0310

This legislation amends Idaho Code, Section 40-1406 to provide that a single county-wide Highway District may operate and expand an established public van and carpooling program, rideshare platform, or park-and-ride facility. When countywide highway districts were established, vanpools were not originally authorized.

There is no impact to the General Fund because this program is already funded through ITD.
