BILLS – States findings of the House of Representatives and amends House Rule 6 regarding the introduction of bills.

This Resolution amends House Rule #6, the result of which is to eliminate introduction of House Bills outside of a House Committee. This will eliminate the logjam for LSO at the beginning of each Session to help better facilitate and expedite the legislature’s work in timely and efficient manner.
This Resolution will reduce the amount of funds spent in creating and numbering House Bills, the precise amount of which, given that the overall Legislative Services Office (LSO) FY23 budget was $10,152,100, is not immediately discernible.
