Law
Rules 6 and 10, bill introduction
BILLS – Amends House Rules 6 and 10 regarding the introduction of bills.

RS30144 / HR003

This Resolution will eliminate the deadline for Informational Bills, (bills introduced outside of the committee process) thereby easing the log jam created by the previous 20th day deadline in Rule 6.

This Resolution leaves intact the long-standing ability of members to have a bill introduced outside of the committee process and the bill will now reside in the office of the Chief Clerk.

There is no discernable fiscal impact on this Resolution.
