Polling place prohibitions
ELECTIONS – Repeals and adds to existing law to prohibit certain electioneering messaging at polling places on certain days.

Physically voting at a polling place is a right of all eligible Idaho voters . Access to Idaho polling places should be certain and without restriction, inconvenience or trouble. Voters have complained about being solicited in polling place areas. This Bill clarifies existing law and adds provisions to statute to ensure all voters can exercise their voting rights without delay or encumbrance.

This legislation causes no additional expenditure of funds at the local level of government. Polling place signs will be developed, funded and provided by the Office of the Secretary of State.
