APPROPRIATIONS – DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION – Relates to the appropriation to the Department of Transportation for fiscal years 2023 and 2024.

This bill transfers a total of $647.8 million from the General Fund to several accounts at the Idaho Transportation Department for road, bridge, and airport projects. In FY 2023, it appropriates $245 million for local bridge maintenance; pedestrian and safety projects to include shoulder widening, sidewalk crossing, pedestrian bridge repair, sidewalk ramps, sidewalk lighting, sidewalk flashing beacons, etc; grants to Idaho airports; and funding for agency managed backcountry airfields. In FY 2024, it appropriates $402.8 million for road and bridge maintenance; transportation capacity and safety projects; statewide transportation projects; local road and bridge maintenance projects; and local transportation projects."
