JUVENILE CORRECTIONS ACT – Amends existing law to revise the definition of “juvenile offender” and to revise a provision regarding jurisdiction and juveniles younger than ten years of age.

Currently, in Idaho, there is no minimum age for criminal prosecution. This legislation changes the juvenile offender definition to disallow criminal prosecution of minors under the age of ten (10), except for the crime of murder in the first or second degree.

This legislation causes no additional expenditure of funds at the state or local level of government nor does it cause an increase or decrease in revenue for state or local government therefore this legislation has no fiscal impact.
