Law
State agencies, cash payment
STATE GOVERNMENT AND STATE AFFAIRS – Adds to existing law to require state agencies to accept cash as a method of payment along with any other accepted methods of payment in certain instances and to prohibit state agencies from charging an additional fee for cash payment.

RS30974 / H0417

This legislation assures that cash is an acceptable payment in Idaho government and that citizens would not be charged additional fees if they choose to use it.

There will be no fiscal impact to state or local governments if this legislation passes because this is a common practice in most of Idaho government. The legislation also does not create or expand any programs and does not require the expenditure of any funds.
