Maternal mortality committee
MATERNAL MORTALITY – Adds to existing law to provide for a maternal mortality review committee that will investigate causes and factors associated with deaths relating to pregnancy and childbirth.

This legislation amends Idaho Code 39 by adding new Chapter 96, which will establish a Maternity Mortality Review Committee. This committee will collect and review data concerning maternal mortality in the state of Idaho and provide an annual report June 30th of each year. This legislation will sunset in July 1, 2030.
This legislation causes no additional expenditures of funds at the state or local level of government nor does it cause an increase or decrease in revenue for state or local government therefore the legislation has no fiscal impact.
