STATE DISASTER PREPAREDNESS – Amends existing law to revise the definition of development.

RS30795 / H0425

This legislation amends Idaho Codes 46-1021(1) & 46-1022 to ensure that Idaho is compliant with the National Flood Plain Insurance Program's (NFIP) regulations. This will allow local jurisdictions the ability to maintain participation in the NFIP and citizens to acquire flood insurance.

There is no fiscal impact because the legislation simply amends sections of Idaho’s code to come into compliance with NFIP.
