School district activity funds
SCHOOL DISTRICT ACTIVITY FUNDS – Amends existing law to allow disbursements from school district activity funds through the use of a debit card.

RS30900 / H0450

This bill adds the option of a debit or credit card to be associated with an Activity Fund account set up by the school district or school district’s designee. Currently, the statute only allows for disbursements of any funds to be made by a bank check. This addition will help simplify purchases made by the schools.

This legislation causes no additional expenditure of funds at the state or local level of government, nor does it cause an increase or decrease in revenue for state or local government. Therefore, the legislation has no fiscal impact.
