HOUSE BILL 454
Law
Advanced opportunity scholarship
ADVANCED OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIP – Amends existing law to change the limit on the amount that may distributed under the advanced opportunity scholarship for certain workforce training courses.
RS30976 / H0454
This Legislation changes the current payment structure for a CTE workforce training course under the Advanced Opportunities Scholarship, described in Idaho Code Section 33-4602(d). This change allows a student to utilize the full $1,000 scholarship for one course, or more, and strikes the portion where a student is only allowed to spend $500 per course, or $1000 per year. The total amount allowed will remain the same at $1,000 per year and will not add any costs to this scholarship.
This legislation will have no fiscal impact to the State’s General fund or any dedicated fund as the total amount allowed for this scholarship of $1,000 per year remains the same.
