Electioneering messages
ELECTIONEERING MESSAGES – Amends existing law to expand and add to a prohibition against electioneering messages on certain government correspondence.

RS31281 / H0618

This legislation further defines 'electioneering message' for tax related correspondences and includes language to restrict electioneering messages on warrants, remittance advice, and memos.

There will be no fiscal impact to state or local governments if this legislation passes because it does not create or expand any programs and does not require the expenditure of any funds.
