PUBLIC ASSISTANCE – Adds to existing law to modify eligibility for public assistance for pregnant women.

This legislation adds provisions regarding postpartum Medicaid coverage for women. by extending Medicaid eligibility for twelve (12) months for postpartum coverage to individuals who, while pregnant, are eligible for and receive Medicaid.

This legislation causes no additional expenditure of funds at the state or local government nor does it cause an increase or decrease in revenue for the state or local government therefore the legislation has no fiscal impact.
