APPROPRIATIONS – DEPARTMENT OF LANDS – Relates to the appropriation to the Department of Lands for fiscal year 2023.

This is a fiscal year 2023 supplemental appropriation for the Department of Lands and provides for a total increase of $1,171,400.

Firstly, the supplemental includes $340,400 from the General Fund to purchase equipment for the Cottonwood District in eastern Idaho, which includes funding for three command vehicles, one crew cab pickup truck, personal computers and office equipment, furniture, and radio communication equipment. Secondly, the supplemental includes $831,000 from the General Fund for fire fighting equipment to be used across the state. This second supplemental includes funding for five fire engines, two command vehicles for fire crews in Deary and the Northern Idaho Booster Crew, five fire detection cameras located at strategic mountain top locations, a new radio repeater system for better communication with the Grangeville Interagency Dispatch Center, and a pallet wrapper for the Coeur d'Alene Interagency Fire Cache.

This provides an additional appropriation of $1,171,400 in one-time capital outlay from the General Fund for the Department of Lands for fiscal year 2023.
