SENATE BILL 1187
RS30659 / S1187
Idaho Law restricts distribution, promotion, or dissemination of obscene materials or materials harmful to minors. Harmful materials are defined as any pornographic and indecent representation in any form of publication. This bill amends Idaho Code §§ 18-1515, 18-1517 and 67-6533 which revises provisions regarding distribution of harmful materials to minors and adds the date of effectivity. Lastly, this bill adds a section to Chapter 1 Title 33, Idaho Code which enacts policies to protecting minors from any harmful materials.
The passage of this Bill could cause the expenditure of public funds because of possible legal actions required. It is estimated to expose local government and state government to legal cost of $10,000.00 to $100,000.00, as per annum.
