APPROPRIATIONS – PUBLIC SCHOOLS – EDUCATIONAL SERVICES FOR THE DEAF AND THE BLIND – Relates to the appropriation to the Public Schools Educational Support Program’s Division of Educational Services for the Deaf and the Blind for fiscal year 2024.

This is the FY 2024 Original Appropriation for the Educational Services for the Deaf and the Blind (IESDB), as part of the Public School Support Program. IESDB assists school districts and state agencies by providing accessibility, quality, and equity to students in the state with sensory impairments through a continuum of service and placement options (Section 33-3403, Idaho Code). This bill includes funding for operations of the Campus Program and the Outreach Program. This bill provides additional funding for compensation of instructional staff and addresses hiring and retention issues for hard to fill positions.
