WINE – Amends existing law to authorize an importer of wine to ship directly to a retailer.

This legislation amends section 23-1309, Idaho Code, to authorize an importer of wine to ship directly to a retailer.
This legislation should have minimal impact on the General Fund. The only expense to the General Fund would be the ministerial costs of promulgating the change to Idaho Code. There may be some small increase in costs to the Idaho State Police with respect to records inspections at retail locations. However, this possible additional expense would be unpredictably variable as driven by the discretionary inspection schedule of the agency.
