School dist trustees, quorum
SCHOOL DISTRICT TRUSTEES – Amends existing law to revise the quorum requirements for meetings of school district boards of trustees.

RS30891 / S1239

This legislation amends section 33-510 to change the quorum requirement for school boards. Currently, a quorum is defined as a majority of the members of a school board, and this legislation changes the quorum to a majority of the filled seats on a school board.

This legislation does not result in any change to the costs of state or local governments because it simply changes in certain situations the number of school board members required to constitute a quorum in order to conduct school board business.
